Several large donors give appreciated stocks indirectly by first donating them to Donor Advised Funds affiliated with their brokerage houses, then directing a grant to Chaptops.  We don’t maintain a brokerage account.

QCD from your IRA

If you are 70.5 or older, your IRA’s trustee can send a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) directly to Chaptops.  It’s tax free and counts toward your RMD.
